Ordering, Delivery, Collection & Refund Policy

Ordering

All products are made to order and require a minimum of 3 days’ notice. When placing an order through our website, customers are required to select a preferred collection or delivery date and time slot using the calendar provided during checkout.

Available dates and time slots are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed until your order has been confirmed.

For custom cake enquiries, please contact us via WhatsApp, email, or through our Custom Cake Enquiries page. To receive an accurate quote, please provide details such as your preferred flavour, cake size, occasion, event date, colour scheme, and inspiration images.

Payment

Payment is required before any order will be prepared, scheduled, or released.

Please make payment directly into our bank account and use your Order ID or Name and Surname as the payment reference.

Once payment has been made, kindly WhatsApp your proof of payment to 079 515 5390 to avoid delays in processing your order.

Orders will only be confirmed once payment has been received and cleared.

Delivery

Delivery is available within selected areas of Cape Town only.

  • Flat rate Delivery Fee: R250
  • Delivery Days: Tuesday to Friday
  • Delivery is not available on weekends or public holidays.
  • Customers must select a delivery date and time slot during checkout.

While every effort is made to deliver orders on time, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control may occasionally result in delays.

Collection

Collection is available from Kuils River, Cape Town by appointment only.

  • Collection Days: Tuesday to Friday
  • Customers must select a collection date and time slot during checkout.
  • Collection details will be provided once the order has been confirmed.

Once an order has been collected, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of being placed.

Unfortunately, cancellations requested after the first 2 hours cannot be accepted, as preparation, planning, ingredient purchasing, and scheduling may already have commenced.

Refunds

Due to the custom-made and perishable nature of our products, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you believe your order does not meet reasonable quality standards, please contact us as soon as possible with a detailed explanation and supporting photographs where applicable.

Refund requests will be reviewed fairly and individually. Approval of a refund remains at the sole discretion of Cakella.

Orders cancelled more than 2 hours after being placed are not eligible for a refund.

Returns

For health, safety, and food hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns of cakes, baked goods, or any food products.

Product Information

As all products are handcrafted, slight variations in colour, decoration, size, and design may occur. These variations are part of the handmade nature of our products and do not constitute defects.

Customers ordering custom cakes based on inspiration images acknowledge that the final product may not be an exact replica but will be created as closely as reasonably possible while maintaining the Cakella style and design standards.

Allergens

Our kitchen handles common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy. While every effort is made to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
